Ruby Moore


Ruby Moore is the Executive Director of the Georgia Advocacy Office. She has 50 years of direct experience with mental health and 36 years in the disability field. She has worked in most of the United States and several other countries to bring people out of exile and to develop policies, practices, relationships and services to support people with disabilities to have good lives. Her work has included decades of advocacy, provision of direct support, national policy work and systems change. She has worked in dozens of class actions, given testimony before Senate Committees, the US EEOC, federal court judges, and was an invited speaker at a United Nations Conference in Iceland. She currently runs Georgia’s independent Protection and Advocacy System for people with disabilities and mental illnesses.
