Lewis Bossing, J.D.
Lewis Bossing is a senior staff attorney at the Judge David L. Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law. Since joining Bazelon in 2007, Lewis has worked on a broad array of issues affecting adults and children with mental disabilities, including community integration, education, and criminal justice. He helped organize Bazelonís public education efforts around the voting rights of people with mental disabilities during the 2008 and 2012 elections. Lewis received his bachelorís degree from Northwestern University, and his law degree from the New York University School of Law. Before coming to Bazelon, he clerked on the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and worked as a staff attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and at the Legal Aid SocietyĖEmployment Law Center in San Francisco. Starting in fall 2015, Lewis will serve on the American Bar Associationís Commission on Disability Rights.
