Jane Hudson is a Senior Staff Attorney with the National Disability Rights Network (formerly NAPAS). She provides technical assistance and training to P&As regarding abuse and neglect and access issues. Jane has a law degree from the University of Toledo, Ohio, a master's degree from Western Michigan University in Counseling and Personnel, a master's degree from the American University in Cairo, Egypt, and a bachelor's degree from Kalamazoo College. She has practiced law in a variety of settings, including large and small law firms, governmental agencies, and a state protection and advocacy agency. After performing some pro bono work for the Arizona P&A, she joined the P&A in the early 1990s as a PAIMI attorney, representing people diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities. In the late 1990s, she represented the government of Maricopa County, Arizona, as an ADA and employment lawyer, where she worked to ensure that the county complied with the mandates of the ADA and other employment laws. Her aareas of focus at NDRN are employment, housing, abuse/neglect and access.
