Mark Joyce, J.D.

Mark Joyce is the Senior Staff Attorney at the Disability Rights Center of Maine, Maine's P&A and is also a NARPA board member. He focuses exclusively in the area of mental health law. Some of the cases he has brought include challenges to involuntary commitment orders based upon ineffective assistance of counsel and constitutional challenges to forced treatment laws. He has argued mental health law cases before Maine's Supreme Judicial Court including the pending case of Doe v. Graham, et al. that addresses the issue of hospital employee immunity from malpractice claims that are brought by involuntarily committed patients.
