NARPA 2003: United for Social Justice

November 20 - 23, 2003

Conference begins at 6:30 Thursday evening and ends on Sunday at noon.
Registration opens at 3:30 PM on Thursday.

Full registration fee includes two lunches (Fri and Sat), Thursday opening reception/buffet, and three continental breakfasts.

Every November, NARPA - The National Association for Rights Protection and Advocacy - pulls out all the stops to produce an educational conference with inspiring keynoters and outstanding workshops. At NARPA, we learn from and share with colleagues, and come together as a community committed to social justice for people with psychiatric and mental disability labels. The NARPA 2003 FAQ page has been updated with information about airport transportation and alternatives to on-site hotel accommodations.

The NARPA 2003 Conference has been approved for up to 10.5 Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) hours by the State Bar of Texas, and for up to 15 continuing education credits for Social Workers, LPCs and LMFTs by the Texas Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.

After November 12, you must register on-site at the on-site registration rate, although registration information is still available on-line.

Note (10/5/03): Irit Shimrat was previously announced to be keynoting. Unfortunately, NARPA has learned that she will be unable to join us this year.

NARPA has been approved by the State Bar of Texas for 10.5 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits, but the legal track workshops at NARPA conferences are not just for lawyers.
