Lisa is a skilled speaker with over 25 years of experience who travels nationally, addressing issues related to "living with disability in the family." Lisa's only sibling, David, struggled with issues surrounding a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia for 16 years, until his death in 1981. Her husband Craig has an advanced case of multiple sclerosis, but most importantly, they feel blessed with a 14-year-old son, Jordan, who has autism. Along with her private counseling practice, she has published numerous articles. Current interests include: helping families manage the emotional journey when parenting children with differences; respectful counseling for adults with autism/asperger's syndrome; and promoting self-determination and community inclusion for people with disabilities
