Melissa Schroeder, M.A., BCBA

Melissa Schroeder is currently working towards her doctorate in clinical psychology at Long Island University-Post. The topic of her doctoral dissertation is, "The Effects of Client History on Mental Health Professionals' Attitudes Toward and Diagnosis of Disruptive Behavior Disorder in Children." Her areas of interest include children and adolescents diagnosed with severe mental illnesses. It has been her mission to advocate for children who cannot speak for themselves. Melissa believes that all individuals should be treated based on their current life-stressors rather than the history of their difficulties.
