Cultural competency is an important factor in the lives of people with diverse cultures. Cultural diversity in our community brings with it opportunities and challenges on how empowerment & recovery is viewed and translated into community. There is a need for a wider discussion. The workshop presenters will discuss perspectives on culture and resources for different people in terms of race, consumerism as culture, gender and sexual orientation.
