Harrison (Harry) Fowler is community organizer, artist, and aspiring critical psychologist from Beaumont, Texas. They currently reside in Oakland, California as a worker-owner at Mandela Grocery Cooperative. Harry’s advocacy as a named plaintiff of Mental Health & Wellness Coalition v. Stanford University ignited discussion and unprecedented reform concerning oppressive student mental health treatment and leave of absence policies at numerous major universities across the US. Since then, they have led student-worker anti-exploitation movements, participated in social justice art fellowships using audiovisual mediums, and undertaken personal research on the mainstream psychological ideologies that led to their oppressive experiences. Graduating from Stanford with a BA in political science and minor in Black studies, they are an advocate of anarcho-communism, veganism, ecowomanism, and relationship anarchy. Harry uses they/them/water pronouns.
