Stacie Hiramoto, MSW, has been a mental health advocate for many years. She currently works as Director of Special Programs for the Mental Health Association in California where she facilitates a coalition of organizations serving traditionally underserved communities. She has been a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Rights Protection and Advocacy (NARPA), and was the recipient of the Paul Freddolino Award in 2000.
She recently completed her term as the Vice President on the National Board of Directors of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and was recently elected as the President Elect of the California Chapter of NASW.
Stacie has also served as the Director of Legislative Affairs and Government Relations for the California Chapter of NASW. She also lobbied at the State Capitol for many years as the Public Affairs Manager for Protection and Advocacy, Inc., in California.
